Day 12 - Sunday Success Stories

BEFORE

AFTER

When you hear of others' success stories of real people just like you and me, doesn't it encourage and inspire you to believe the same for yourself? It sure does me! I like to think, "If they can do it, so can I!" In today's success story, I am highlighting Kelly Ruch, who has not only lost 50 pounds, but she has kept the 50 pounds off for 3 years. Now THAT is FANTASTIC! And that is exactly the kind of goal we are all shooting for....No FADS or quick fixes but, simple and consistent lifestyle changes, made slowly, patiently and long term to bring about our ultimate goal of taking back our bodies and keeping them! THAT is our aim and we are going to do it my friends!!!

The pictures up above of Kelly show the results of making consistent and long term changes. Kelly shares that after having 2 children and gaining weight, she joined a health club. She says she has now incorporated exercise into her life, 6 days a week and watches what she eats, avoiding too much snacking. Even when the club is closed, she says she is motivated to get exercise in other ways from running or biking outside to weight training at home. In 3 years she has maintained her weight loss of 50 pounds and has gone from a size 12/14 down to a 0/2. (Obviously a small framed gal!) ;-) She said that she loves life now and even her children love to exercise with her. She also says that she loves the confidence she now has. You can read more about Kelly' success story at:
http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/weight-loss/success-stories/makeovers/i-did-it-best-before-and-after-weight-loss-stories/?page=12. As you read, remember, as we all implement our new choices and keep at it, eventually you can be featured someday on our "Sunday Success Stories"! ;-)

Hope you all have a great week. Mucho love and success to you all!

Until tomorrow ~ sweet and slender dreams!

  1. Yes! It is the small changes that will amount up to a total lifestyle change. One of my first goals I set for myself was to exercise daily. I started out walking on my treadmill (3.0 - 3.2 mph). I began walking 30 minutes a day and added 1 minute to my walking daily. I started Dec 27th and tonight I walked 50 minutes. In just 10 short days I will have reached my goal of walking for 60 minutes each day. (I usually take 1 day off a week) I already feel so good about my accomplishment! I am looking forward to weighing in this week to see if my exercise routine has helped me with my 1 lb a week goal! Did you hear that...I'm looking forward to weighing in - now that is an accomplishment! ;)
